THIRD EYE AWAKENING
Updated: Oct 10, 2021

Do you feel like you need a new vision for your life? Do you feel stuck, disenchanted and confused about your path or how to make what you want a reality? A lot of dreams but no direction? Or perhaps no ideas at all about where you want to be or what you want from life? What if I told you, you can alter your destiny by simply altering your perception?
"It just takes a shift in perception to go from Nowhere to Now here." -unknown author

The Ajna Chakra is also to referred to as your "third eye" and is found between the brows in the centre of your forehead. It rules over the organs of perception (eyes and brain) , but more specifically the Pineal Gland. It holds and commands our consciousness, imagination, dreams and psychic abilities. It interprets how we see the world. It creates our reality and shapes who we are. It is where our past memories are stored and where our future vision comes into existence.
If the 6th Chakra is unbalanced, we can tend to feel cynical, undecisive and closed minded. It can also swing the other way into constantly daydreaming, living in our imagination and not being able to properly express our ideas realistically. Often times negative programming from family, culture or society, can cause us to shut down this powerful source of insight.
There are many ways to activate and balance the Ajna. The most important first step is seeking clarity. A clear vision of who we are and what we truly desire ultimately creates our lifestyle. Learning to trust your intuition and opening up to divine guidance, can lead us to a happier, healthier existence.
Using meditation, yoga and aromatherapy, are just a few ways we can stimulate and regulate our Ajna. Yoga Nidra and Tratak (candle gazing) meditation are excellent ways to sharpen the sense of this chakra. Yoga asanas like aversion such as Adho Much Vrksasana (headstand) and Prasarita Paschimottanasana ( wide legged forward fold) tune the third eye. Diffusing essential oils like Peppermint, Rosemary and Clary Sage help to enhance memory and cognitive function.
Below is a brief introduction and some of the attributes of this 6th Chakra for you to further explore. We will be discussing all the Chakras in my regular Vinyasa classes here in Mallorca.
